Advisor, Scientific and Technical Division

2018 - Present

  • Developed the three-year organizational strategy using UCD methodologies, which effectively set parameters for programmatic work, fundraising, and M&E for all staff.

  • Created organization-level strategies for Ipas’s work with young adolescents, climate change, and telehealth through collaborative engagement and interviews with key staff and desk reviews.

  • Served on the internal ‘Design Thinking Steering Committee’, which was responsible for providing UCD and UX orientations, building staff skills, and promoting an exchange of best practices across the organization.

  • Created an internal toolkit for UCD & Design Thinking processes and resources, including prototyping, testing, user research strategies, and facilitation of design workshops.

  • Established a community of practice for 250+ internal/external facilitators of values clarification and attitude transformation (VCAT) workshops, led by a shared leadership team of international staff.

  • Led the creation of an online training course for Ipas’s Social and Behavior Change content, including UI.

  • Developed and conducted qualitative surveys with NC health centers to support grant submissions.  

  • Created a new ACCESS database to compile all clinics and services for HIV/AIDS patients in all regions of NC.

  • Connected people to low-cost transportation services to access crucial health facilities through prototyping, testing, and distributing key materials, community outreach events, and interviews with key stakeholders.

  • Developed a mixed-methods survey to collect data on provider and government stakeholder perceptions of abortion and contraception in various Indian states.

  • Led training for staff responsible for collecting survey data on key stakeholder perceptions.
